JOB DESCRIPTION
Payroll Clerk, Bellshill (PART TIME)
Job Brief:
As Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on time.
Main Responsibilities:
Updating and maintaining payroll records, including making records for new starters and updating existing employee information
Directing pay-slips and transfers on a weekly/monthly basis to pay employees
Calculating overtime, shift payments and shift increases; maternity, sick and holiday pay; as well as travel and other expenses
Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and tax obligations as well as internal policies and procedures, and calculating tax and national insurance payments
Dealing with employee and client enquiries and advising on tax and pay laws
Analyzing and reporting on financial data
Skills and Qualifications:
Should possess strong communication skills
Good at problem solving, mathematical, IT, and administrative skills
Familiarity with payroll-related legislation and requirements
Adept at working with computers and relevant payroll software (XERO and BrightPay)
Key Performance Indicators:
Timely and accurate payroll run
Communication and engagement with the management and the rest of the business and driving accountability of the business with the relevant stake holders

Job Type: Permanent part time, 16 hours per week average.
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per year (pro rata)
