Residential Team Leader
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader to join our Residential Care Team and work closely with the Residential Services Manager. This role will require you to support children and young people for short breaks and respite. You will lead and supervise a team of residential support workers - managing the delivery of care and preparing detailed care plans and ensuring that they meet the individual needs of the service users.

As a Residential Team Leader your responsibilities will include:
- An ability to work in a positive, respectful, and empowering way with all young people to promote good relationships and encourage achievement, whilst being a positive role model.
- Keep young people engaged, co-ordinate activities for the young people to ensure they lead fulfilling lives
- Having an understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
- Participating in the content and update of care planning, supporting the young person’s short- and long-term goals.
- Working in a positive way with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best opportunities are available for our young people.
- Maintaining all records and reports that are required by LOVE in terms of the guidelines and regulations and in the interests of communicating effectively within a professional care team.
- Attending meetings as appropriate and to participate in the effective, supportive, and efficient working of the staff team.
Specifications for this role-
- To be committed to your own personal and professional development
- IT skills
- HNC Social care or SVQ level 4 Children and Young People is desirable
- Full driving licence required
- Flexibility to work a minimum of one in three weekends
