JOB DESCRIPTION - Payroll Clerk, Bellshill (PART TIME)
Job Brief:
As Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on time.
Main Responsibilities:
- Updating and maintaining payroll records, including making records for new starters and updating existing employee information
- Directing pay-slips and transfers on a weekly/monthly basis to pay employees
- Calculating overtime, shift payments and shift increases; maternity, sick and holiday pay; as well as travel and other expenses
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and tax obligations as well as internal policies and procedures, and calculating tax and national insurance payments
- Dealing with employee and client enquiries and advising on tax and pay laws
- Analyzing and reporting on financial data
Skills and Qualifications:
- Should possess strong communication skills
- Good at problem solving, mathematical, IT, and administrative skills
- Familiarity with payroll-related legislation and requirements
- Adept at working with computers and relevant payroll software (XERO and BrightPay)
Key Performance Indicators:
- Timely and accurate payroll run
- Communication and engagement with the management and the rest of the business and driving accountability of the business with the relevant stake holders

Job Type: Permanent part time, 16 hours per week average.
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per year (pro rata)
